Sanatanaa for kids

Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

The short version

  • We collect only what we need to mail letters: the buyer's email, the shipping address, and each child's first name.
  • Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your full card number.
  • We share data only with the services that help us run Sanatanaa (payments, printing and mailing, email, hosting). We never sell your data.
  • We don't collect information directly from children.
  • Want your data deleted? Email us.

1. Who we are

Sanatanaa ("we," "us"), operated from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, mails monthly Hindu spirituality letters for kids. This policy explains what information we collect on sanatanaa.com and through our subscriptions, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

From you, the adult buyer

Payment information

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter card details on Stripe's secure checkout, not on our site. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe shares limited details with us, such as card brand, last four digits, and expiry, so we can help with billing questions.

Collected automatically

Like every website, our host (Cloudflare) processes basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested in order to deliver and protect the site. We use fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to load them. We don't use advertising trackers or sell ad space.

3. How we use it

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Sanatanaa, and only what each one needs:

ProviderWhyWhat they get
StripePayments, receipts, and subscription billingYour name, email, billing details, and payment information
Our print-and-mail partnerPrinting and mailing your lettersYour name, each child's first name, and the shipping address
Our email providerSending order emails and updatesYour email address and the content of the message
CloudflareHosting the website and storing welcome-offer signupsTechnical data and welcome-offer emails

The U.S. Postal Service delivers the letters, so it sees what's on the envelope. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a transfer if Sanatanaa's business changes hands (in which case this policy would still protect your information).

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.

5. Children's privacy

Sanatanaa is made for children but bought by adults. We take a COPPA-mindful approach, following the spirit of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act:

If we learn that a child has sent us personal information directly, we'll delete it.

6. Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising cookies. Our welcome popup saves a small note in your browser's local storage (under sanatanaa-welcome-v1) so it remembers whether you dismissed it or signed up, and doesn't keep popping up. If you signed up, the note also keeps your email on your own device for a few days so we can pre-fill the checkout. You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's site data. Stripe's checkout pages use their own cookies, covered by Stripe's privacy policy.

7. How long we keep it

We keep subscription information while your subscription is active and for as long as needed afterward for tax, accounting, and legal reasons. We keep welcome-offer emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. When we no longer need information, we delete it.

8. Your choices and rights

Some U.S. states give residents specific privacy rights. We honor these requests for all of our customers, wherever they live.

9. How we protect it

We use reputable providers, limit who can access customer information, and share only what each provider needs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care with your family's information and will tell you if something goes wrong in a way that affects you.

10. U.S. only

Sanatanaa serves U.S. addresses, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll email you first.
